Symptom Possible cause Solution
There is air in the instrument. The
waste line was moved during
instrument operation, resulting in
an unstable flow rate.
Perform an automatic sample
probe height adjustment. Use the
software to run a prime command
three times, an alcohol flush
command twice, then a wash
command three time with distilled
water.

levels. Verify that tubing for both
bottles is tightly connected to the
instrument. Check that the waste
fluid container cap is vented.
